We’re Harminder and Rohit—Brown Gym Bros. What began as two Punjabi kids chasing progressive overload has grown into a message of discipline, representation, and belonging. Harminder (lifting since 2016) is a registered nurse who brings a bodybuilding and lifestyle approach to training. Rohit (since 2018) focuses on powerlifting, powerbuilding, strength work, and plyometrics.

In 2020, at the height of COVID, Rohit launched a non-profit that helped students stay active and supported through free training. We’ve both experienced major physique changes—growth that’s physical, mental, and cultural. Proudly Brown, we show up for our people and aim to make strength training feel welcoming and real.

Can you build a fully plant-based plan?
Yes. We program vegan or mostly-plant diets with precise protein targets, smart food swaps, and grocery lists that match your culture and budget. You’ll get guidance on complete proteins, fiber, and recovery so strength doesn’t stall.
Do you coach clients outside Canada?
We do. Lifters train with us from the USA, UK, Australia, and across Europe. Coaching is delivered online, so time zones aren’t a deal-breaker—check-ins and feedback are scheduled to suit you.
I’m new to the gym—will I be overwhelmed?
You’ll be fine. We start with clear videos, simple standards, and conservative week-to-week progressions. Once the basics feel automatic, we layer on volume and intensity at a pace you can sustain.
What gear do I need to get started?
We write to your setup. A rack (or sturdy substitute), barbell or dumbbells, an adjustable bench, and bands are plenty. Training at a commercial gym? We’ll map the plan to the machines you actually have.
How does online coaching stack up to in-person?
Different strengths. In person is great for day-one cueing; online wins for consistency. You’ll get a tailored plan, regular check-ins, and form reviews with adjustments as you progress—no guessing between sessions.
What do check-ins look like each week?
You’ll submit quick training clips and a short update on sleep, stress, and nutrition. We respond with targeted cues and any program tweaks—so the plan evolves with you, not months later.
